This chiyogami paper from Furukawashiko brings together small sprays of cherry blossoms and other light floral motifs across a stack of coordinating sheets, from soft pinks and yellows to deeper reds, golds, and blues. Each sheet is cut to a perfect square, ready for origami folds, card fronts, collage, or wrapping small gifts.
The paper is made from Mino washi, a traditional Japanese paper with a history that goes back some 1,300 years to Mino City in Gifu Prefecture. Furukawashiko itself has been working with this paper since 1835, and it shows in the texture here: soft and pliable in the hand, yet sturdy enough to hold a crisp fold.
