This little drummer boy stands ready to keep the beat, dressed in a powder blue shirt and gray trousers, with a red knit cap pulled down over his ears and a red-and-gold drum tucked under his arm.
Gry & Sif began after two sisters took a backpacking trip through Nepal, where they fell for the local craft of felting and set out to pair it with Danish design. Each piece is still designed in Denmark and shaped by hand in Nepal, using pure, natural wool sourced from New Zealand, and the company earned Fair Trade certification from the World Fair Trade Organization in 2009.
He is one of a small felt orchestra of mice, made to stand on a shelf or mantel or join the rest of the band under the tree, and like every Gry & Sif piece, his handmade nature means no two mice are ever quite alike.
