Designed by Pluto Produkter in Gothenburg, Sweden, this little carousel runs on nothing but the heat of a candle. Eight-pointed stars in gold and brushed metal hang from a curved arm above a single tealight, and once the flame is lit and warms the blades overhead, the whole top begins to turn, sending the stars twirling and scattering their reflections across nearby walls and ceiling.
Pluto Produkter began in Gothenburg, Sweden in 1996 with a mission to bring a little extra sparkle into everyday life through Scandinavian design. The rotary candle holder has become something of a signature for the brand, a small bit of quiet motion that turns an ordinary tealight into a bit of tabletop theater once the candle catches.
