Designed by Roomytown in their studio in Bath, UK, this deck brings a bit of forest floor charm to an evening of cards. The 52 standard cards and 2 jokers each carry a mushroom or fungi illustration sourced from a 19th-century French natural history volume, restored and reimagined so the intricate forms and earthy colors of the originals come through clearly.
Turn a card over and you'll find a marbled pattern on the back, inspired by the decorative endpapers found inside Victorian books. It's a small, nostalgic touch that carries through the whole deck, whether you're mid-game or just fanning the cards out to look at the artwork.
The deck slides into a pull-drawer box with gold foil accents, sturdy enough for regular shuffling and easy to keep on a shelf or coffee table between games.
