Maruman's vif Art watercolour paper comes in a postcard-sized pad, built for painting on the go or mailing a finished sketch straight to someone. The paper has a fine grain and a smooth surface that resists bleed-through, so washes stay clean and pen or pencil lines stay crisp, making it just as suited to quick botanical studies as to loose watercolour scenes.
Maruman got its start in 1920 in Tokyo, producing drawing books and sketchpads for students, and has kept developing paper for artists ever since. Each sheet here doubles as a postcard, printed on the back with a postage box and address lines, so a finished piece can go straight into the mail once it is dry.
