Marbled paper has decorated the insides of fine bindings since the 18th and 19th centuries, and this jotter block borrows that tradition for the desktop. The swirling coral, navy, and gold pattern wraps around the edges of every sheet, with each design originally formed by floating pigments on water and transferring them by hand, which is why no two patterns repeat exactly the same way.
Roomytown, working out of a studio in Bath, UK, builds its collections around archival designs pulled from old books, museum collections, and flea market finds, then reworks them for everyday objects. Here that means a plain cream sheet gets a jolt of color at the edges, while a rust fabric spine, brass rivets, and a touch of gold foil keep the whole block looking as good closed as it does mid-list.
Use it for the errands, sketches, or notes that pile up on a desk. Each sheet tears away clean, so the marbled block just gets a little shorter and no less handsome as you go.
