Shaped like a little gingerbread cottage, this matchbox by Kalastyle Soap Co. opens the way a dollhouse would: the peaked roof lifts up, and the front wall slides out as a drawer to reveal the matches tucked inside. Every panel is illustrated with icing-swirl trim, candy cane windows, and a smiling gingerbread man, and the inside walls carry their own little scenes, a fireside living room with stockings and a curled-up cat, and a kitchen with a lit tree and strung lights.
Inside are 100 red-tipped matches, enough for a full season of candles, fireplaces, and quiet winter evenings.
Kalastyle Soap Co. is a second-generation, family-owned business based in Rhode Island, and for almost 40 years, their small but mighty team has been importing the absolute best in personal care products, focusing on old-world, heritage brands from Europe to the States. This cottage brings the same attention to the holiday season.
