Part of the Canto IX collection by Essencias de Portugal, this candle takes its name from a chapter of Os Lusíadas, the Portuguese epic poem, and carries that same sense of discovery into a scent built around pomegranate blossom and ginger.

The fragrance opens fresh and fruity, with the green brightness of pomegranate blossom calling to mind gardens in full bloom, then settles into the warmth of ginger, spiced and a little energetic underneath. It is a pairing worth noticing, the kind of fruit-and-spice combination that shows up again and again in Portuguese cooking and perfumery because it works so well together.
