Underneath the illustrated box is a batch of extra-hot cinnamon buttermints, made to Stannie & Lloyd's double butter buttermint recipe: creamy, minty, and the kind that melts away rather than lasts.
The tin itself is shaped like a miniature tea table, printed all over in pink gingham with a small painted scene along one side, a cat stretching up toward a note and a saucer left on the tabletop. It is meant to be kept after the candy is gone, set on a shelf or mantle as a tiny piece of dollhouse furniture.
Stannie & Lloyd works across stationery, confections, and candles, and this line of Manor House Miniatures grew out of that same in-house studio. As the brand puts it, everything is designed and illustrated in our atelier filled with light, inspirational textiles, books, plants, and laughter, which shows in how much care went into this little scene.
