Blackwing Pencil Roll

Blackwing teamed up with the craftsmen at Bradley Mountain to make a utility roll designed specifically for Blackwing pencils. Each durable, waxed canvas roll holds five Blackwing pencils (included), a memo book and a sharpener (not included), while being flexible enough to adapt to a variety of uses.

The Blackwing Pencil Roll is hand-crafted in San Diego, California using grey Martexin waxed canvas and oiled black leather. The canvas is a unique 8.25 oz weight, not found in most utility rolls, in order to create a durable roll that maintains a low profile when filled.

The Blackwing Story 
The original Blackwing pencil was introduced in the 1930s by Eberhard Faber and was the pencil of choice for Oscar, Grammy and Pulitzer Prize winners throughout the 20th century.After it was discontinued in the 1990s, fans began paying as much as $40 per pencil to seize unused stock.

In 2010, Palomino revived and expanded  Blackwing much to our writing pleasure! Cal Cedar hopes to introduce Blackwing to a new generation of emerging artists and writers. Enjoy!
