Emily Lex Studio got its start when the artist knelt down asking what she was meant to do with her life, and heard three simple words in answer: "be an artist." So in 2019 she established the Emily Lex Studio in the small coastal town of Gig Harbor, Washington, where she still paints the scratchy pencil sketches and watercolor puddles that fill pages like this one.
No painting experience is needed to get started. Work through a page on your own, with a friend, or with the kids, mixing colors as shown and following the guideline sketch until you have something lovely to show for thirty quiet minutes.
