New Look for Paper and Grace

Jill RedmonComment

P&G has a lot to celebrate today! We are unveiling our new logo and we are in LOVE with it.

AND….we are opening a second location in Bozeman, Montana!! It truly is Christmas in July. Be sure to follow along to be the first in the know!

And that's a Wrap!

Jill RedmonComment

We're a stationery store so we take our wrap seriously. When visiting Paper and Grace, you are guaranteed to find a wide selection of fine decorative sheets. Although officially known as gift wrapping, these oversize sheets of paper, typically 20"x 28",  can be used as artwork or for creative projects.  Here is a tiny sampling of our love for wrap sheets.  To be fully inspired, stop by for a visit.

Patch NYC Candles have been a mainstay at Paper and Grace for several years.  These tried and true candles are the result of a brilliant collaboration between Patch NYC and Soap and Paper Factory, another mainstay at the shop.  Besides beautiful fragrances, these candles are pure soy, clean burning, made in NY, vegan, free from phthalates and animal testing.

We like multiples of here are our TOP 3!

The Stag Candle is most certainly a favorite with a scent of Siberian Fir, Cilantro, Citrus & Raspberry.  It's truly dreamy.

We are longtime fans of Maybelle's beautiful calligraphy.  Lucky for us her kit, Belle Calligraphy, is the perfect introduction to the art of calligraphy.  This complete kit includes a wood nib holder with a steel pointed nib, bottle of black ink, instructional booklet with projects, A-Z exemplar, lined guide sheets, vellum sheets, and decorative labels.  Winter is setting in so it seems the perfect time to introduce yourself to Maybelle's world.

Stop by our shop or visit us online for the  Belle Calligraphy kit.

Craft Revolution

Jill RedmonComment

P&G loves a creative project!  We stock hard to find supplies from around the globe to make the end result extra special.

Along with German & Italian crepe paper and stamens to create paper flowers, we have several wonderful books with step by step instructions on flower making.

With the holidays fast approaching, we are well stocked with German dresden trim and glass glitter for homemade cards and ornaments.

We also offer beautiful flat sheets of paper along with gift tags, ribbons, and tape – including washi tape from the original washi factory in Japan.  Adding these special touches makes gift giving personable & fun!

And of course we offer a variety of ink pads, markers, pens, and pencils – including our favorite erasable chalk pencil which has been made in the US since 1889.

Whether your creation is a gift or for you to enjoy, stop by for inspiration and join the Craft Revolution!

Artisan Spotlight: Melanie Nashan

ArtisiansJill RedmonComment

Melanie Nashan is many things. Talented photographer, entrepreneur, world traveller, caring mother, and lucky for us, dear friend.  Her work has been published in Brides, Martha Stewart, The Knot, and Style Me Pretty to name a few.  Melanie has also been named one of America's top 15 wedding photographers by PDN. She lives around the corner (in Montana) but we were thrilled when she visited us in Jackson a few weeks ago to catch up and capture some amazing images of our shop. We've had the pleasure of working with Melanie a lot over the years, so we wanted to take a moment to show off some of her gorgeous work (from weddings and her travels) here on our blog. You can see more work by Nashan Photographers on their blog and facebook. Thanks again Melanie! xoxo

The 4th is pretty much one of our favorite holidays. Jackson is bustling and there's just nothing like summer in the Rockies. It's party season and we're ready to roll. The shop is packed full of festive goodies so whether you need some playful party items for your BBQ or a fun hostess gift we have you covered. Check out the Jackson Hole Events Calendar here to explore the goings-on around town and stop by the shop this weekend. Have a Happy 4th!

Artisan Spotlight: Alexa Pulitzer

Stationery, ArtisiansJill RedmonComment

Alexa Pulitzer is most definitely New Orleans’ First Lady of Stationery. We believe she's a shining example of NOLA's spirit. We are excited for the newest edition of wildlife stationary with her Horn-abet line of monogram pieces emblazoned with staghorns.

“I wanted people to know I was proud to be a daughter of New Orleans,”  says Pulitzer.

à votre santé, Ms. Pulitzer!

We stopped in our tracks when we first saw Alexa's unique work in 2014. We fell for her captivating French Quarter and wildlife motifs, beautifully printed in New Orleans. We love to meet the artist alongside their work. Alexa is all around fabulous; her artwork, business sense, flair and joie de vivre. Everyone at Paper and Grace loves the newest addition to this noteworthy line.

Stop by the shop to see more of the collection or click here to shop online.

Artisan Spotlight: Field Notes

Stationery, ArtisiansJill RedmonComment

For those of us that enjoy the tactile quality of pen (or pencil) and paper there's no substitute for Field Notes. These notebooks/planners have developed a cult following that has reached well beyond their mid-west roots (count us among them). Inspired by utilitarian agricultural memo books and ornate pocket ledgers of Americana, these hardy little books are more than up to the tasks of modern life.

In addition to making a great gift for your hip-friend-who-has-everything, favorite traveler, or aspiring writer, they're also charming enough to infuse your own day-to-day organization needs with a bit of adventure.

Holiday Edition: Valentine's Day

Holiday, CelebrateJill RedmonComment

After the rush of winter holidays, we're relieved when Cupid rolls around to warm our hearts! Valentine’s Day is here and we have some seriously sweet gifts for your loved ones... Sugarfina Bento Boxes, LOVE Sparklers, heart shaped balloons and plates, sweet V-Day card sets for the young and young-at-heart.  As well as all the most fun card and gift trimmings…are all here for you to shower your darlings and celebrate LOVE!

Artisan Spotlight: John Derian

ArtisiansJill RedmonComment

Derian, the New York based artist/designer of magnificent decoupage curiosities, has published a picture book that is currently #4 on the New York Times Bestseller list!  We love his work and are so happy for this new success. The beloved New York based artisan, John Derian, is a Paper and Grace customer favorite. His whimsical style is perfect for home decor and gifts like decoupage paperweights, plates and trays. Come by our shop to see his delightful line of decoupage and this new book and decide which John Derian gems should come home and grace your space.

National Stationery Show

Trade ShowsJill RedmonComment

Wondering where we find the beautiful stationery that we carry in our Jackson Hole stationery shop? We're lucky enough to send some of the Paper and Grace team to the National Stationery Show in New York to track down all the best paper goods the country (and beyond) has to offer.

Over 800 paper goods providers attend the show, from larger companies like Rifle Paper Co. to brand new companies! Each provider decorates a booth and displays their wares, and buyers get to wander the aisles of Javits Center and explore new greeting cards, paper placemats, paper party supplies, and more!

In addition to attending the show, Jill and Cassie explored New York. They took in the sights, ate delicious food, and did some store research in the Big Apple. They returned to Wyoming well fed, full of ideas, and with a bunch of new lines to carry in Paper and Grace!

Creating a Wax Seal

CraftsJill RedmonComment

We love anything that adds an extra embellishment to paper products, and the wax seal stamps that we carry in our Jackson Hole gifts and stationery store are no exception! These stamps add a personal touch to your correspondence, gift wrapping, craft projects and more!

Read on for a tutorial on how to use a wax seal stamp:

Step 1. Close and seal your envelope flap.

Step 2. Moisten your seal with a wet sponge or cloth. This will help keep the wax from sticking to your stamp.

Step 3. Light the wick of your wax. Hold the wax about 3 to 5 inches over your paper, at a 45 degree angle. Start dripping the wax onto your paper. (You can adjust the angle as needed to control the flow of the wax.)

Step 4. When you have enough wax on the envelope, blow out the flame and rest the wax on a hard surface. (The stamps that we carry will require a wax pool between the size of a dime to a quarter, depending on how big the stamp is.)

Step 5. Press your seal into the hot wax. Wait until the wax is almost dry and remove the stamp slowly. You are done!

Common questions:

How many impressions can I make with one wax stick?

  • Each stick makes about 10-15 impressions.

Can I mail an envelope with a wax stamp on it?

  • Yes, you can! We recommend having the post office hand cancel the envelope (this means that it doesn’t get run through the machine.)

Stop into our Jackson Hole gifts and stationery store to pick up your wax seal today!

Hello from Paper and Grace!

Jill RedmonComment

Welcome to our lovely new site.  We are a resource for stationery, gifts, and supplies to make daily life more enjoyable and beautiful.  Just over a year ago we purchased Paper and Grace and made a few changes.  We have received incredible feedback and want to thank everyone who has cheered us on!

Paper and Grace has amazing and loyal customers that include locals, part-time residents, and explorers of the west. After much demand we are expanding our brick and mortar to an online shop.   Fortunately if you are not able to visit Paper and Grace in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, you can shop online.

We just returned from an amazing trip to the National Stationery Show in New York, where we picked up gorgeous stationery lines made in the US, Canada, United Kingdom, Japan, Germany, Hong Kong, Australia, and beyond.  Look for these new products in the weeks to come!
